We can love a thing and still see room for improvement. I love my new hammer, but this is the case with it.
When I read full steel construction, I mistakenly assumed it was solid, as in with a machined end cap. The end of the handle has some sort of durable plug. It's not what I expected, but I'm looking on the bright side. Least with it like this, if want, I can pop that out and maybe fill the handle for some extra weight. Maybe I'll pack it with some iron filings. Still, I would have preferred a threaded steel cap on the end.
Or... As crazy as it would be, if y'all made a truly solid steel one, head & handle both, I'll buy it.
Other than that the fillet weld between the head and handle is not pretty, it's petty I know, but I was hoping for some stacked dimes.
I'm nitpicking over things that really don't matter much, yet if a new and improved version came out, I will buy it all over again.
Still this is a great tool. I love the look of the finish. The handle is thick and ensures intense digit engagement throughout any movement. The length let's you utilize physics for more challenge. 10lbs might sound like easy work to some but by the time you work your way up to gripping the handle halfway away from the head or further it gets intense!
My criticisms should not stop you from buying this hammer if you're considering it. I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to train their grip.
